Sustainability Beyond Carbon

There is more to offsets than just carbon.

Each VCS carbon credit is a tonne of verified climate benefit, no matter the type of project.

This carbon offset project provides multiple sustainability co-benefits beyond just carbon and helps link your climate response to improved sustainability.

The project’s operation has generated jobs for the local community in addition to the jobs generated during construction.

Renewable energy emits no emissions, displaces fossil-fuel generated electricity and avoids the disposal of waste by-products.

By reducing China’s reliance on imported fossil fuels, it helps increase China’s energy security.

Avoiding the release of SO2 and NOx improves the local air quality.

China’s electricity supply/ demand gap leads to power outages which reduce economic activity and negatively affect daily life.

The project helps improve the grid quality and so contributes to the region’s economic growth.

Stakeholder consultation demonstrated support for the project from the local community.
