2. Get To Know the Project

Click on a project to see key features:

• Project number, type, location, Standard, vintage, project description and contribution to Sustainability Beyond Carbon.
• A direct link to the Standard Registry’s project page – you can review the design documents and the monitoring, validation and verification reports.

3. Add to Cart

• When on the project’s page, select how many tonnes you want and add them to your cart.
• You can buy tonnes from one or more projects.
• You can buy from 1 tonne (contact us if you want larger volumes via formal quote).

• Add these and move on to the next step.

Retirement Information

• We need this information so we can retire the tonnes on your behalf, offsetting your emissions.
• We need retirement name, reason and message (we can help draft a message – just let us know).
• Agree to public listing of retirement in Registry (Verra VCS Registry or Gold Standard Impact Registry).

Payment

• Payment is by credit card via Stripe or Paypal.

5. Retirement

• After payment is made, we will shortly later retire the tonnes on your behalf using the details you provided during checkout.
• Once your carbon offsets have been retired, we will send you detailed evidence of their retirement.

Retiring Your Purchase to Offset Emissions

After buying your carbon offsets, you need the tonnes you have purchased to be retired on your behalf so you can claim them as an offset against your emissions.

• When you buy through Beyond Neutral, we do this for you at no additional cost.
• We also provide you with plenty of quality evidence when it is done.

Once retired in the relevant Registry (VCS or Gold Standard), these offsets reduce your net climate impact.

Retirement

Your tonnes are permanently retired shortly after purchase (often same day), with serial numbers unique to you.

• We use the retirement details you specify as a part of our Carbon Shop’s checkout process.
• Verification-ready evidence of the retirement is provided to you.
• If participating in Australia’s Climate Active carbon neutral scheme, documentation and retirement message will meet the scheme’s requirements.

We don’t do generic, grouped block retirements where offsets purchased by different companies/ people are retired as a block in a single retirement on a Registry.
